When We Are Closed
If you are confronted with a serious problem such as severe chest pain, severe bleeding or shortness of breath we recommend you call an ambulance by dialling 999.
For other types of emergencies and regardless of opening hours, patients should call the Centre on 01268 418200.
Calls will be automatically diverted to the out-of-hours emergency service.
Callers will be asked to give details and will then be transferred to a Doctor who will be able to give further advice or arrange for a visit if deemed necessary.
NHS Direct is no longer available in South Essex. It has been replaced by NHS 111 This service is now available 24 hours a day. If you do not have a 999 emergency, you can call the NHS 111 service (dial 1-1-1) for medical advice and information. Calls to the NHS 111 service are free from both landlines and mobiles.
