Patients Over 75 Years
If you are aged 75 years or over, you should be seen annually either by your doctor or practice nurse. If you cannot visit the Centre, a home visit will be arranged.
Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations
We strongly recommend that you make an appointment at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday. Please be aware that a charge may apply for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS.
Furthermore not all vaccines are available at the Centre, in which case a visit to a travel clinic would then be necessary. Private prescriptions for anti-malaria drugs can be arranged at a fee.
Flu Vaccination
An influenza vaccine is particularly recommended for patients with heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetes, asthma, residents of nursing and rest homes and any patient over 65 years old. Please contact the reception staff in September for details of the vaccination dates. If you are unable to attend the surgery, a home visit can be arranged with the Community Services.
Child Immunisation
Please inform the surgery if you do not wish your child to be vaccinated.
